Matron of Honor

Yamicia and I met while at MIT and quickly bonded over late night sessions completing Chemical Engineering problem sets and teaching Saturday engineering classes to local Boston high school students. What started off as a very productive working relationship soon became one filled with distractions and late night laugh sessions. Still, Yamicia always managed to complete perfectly scripted, 20-page, color coded assignments on completely crisp paper. During these sessions, Yoni would always selflessly stay with us until 3 am, often helping with our work, despite having already graduated. This is how I first knew it was true love.

Yamicia was the first person to teach me to do makeup and properly blow out my hair. She's also talked me through countless life crises- real and imagined- celebrated with me, cried with me, and partied with me. I am so thankful for her friendship and so excited to see Yoni and Yamicia become one!

Yamicia and I first met our freshman year at high school. I would like to say I remember the details of our meeting, but that was in the year 1999 and my memory just isn’t as good as it once was. Needless to say, Yamicia and I became inseparable throughout our high school years. We carpooled together, had almost all the same classes with each other, and I practically lived at her house for most of my Sophomore through Senior Years. Her family became my family and my family became hers. Since graduation, we have been separated by thousands of miles of physical distance but have remained best friends. I am beyond excited to be taking part in her special day and can not wait to see her face light up on her wedding day.

I am, and have been usually referred to as 'Yoni's little sister'. About 4 years ago I moved to Boston to work with Yamicia as a part of her research team.  Over these last four years I have had the chance to get to know Yamicia and we have gone from working together, to friends, and now soon to be sisters.  I love you both and am very excited for you!

The very first time I met Yamicia and Yoni was New Years Day 2013 in a suite at the Loew's hotel. The three words that encapsulate this couple was: First class, Fabulous, & Friendly. That one night of celebration spoiled David and I because first class fun was clearly defined and the idea of what it means to have a great time was elevated. Now any party we attend is compared to the Yoni and Yamicia New Year's extravaganza. I'm mentally trying to prepare for the celebration for this beautiful union! This wedding will again elevate my fun and fabulous meter several thousands notches!

I met Yamicia back in our days at MIT. I was amazed with her ability to be incredibly brilliant, bold, and thoughtful - just the kind of person I wanted to learn from and grow with. It's been a blast to share life with her, and I am honored to witness and support her beautiful union with Yoni.

Best Man

I had the pleasure of getting to know Yoni and Yamicia as one of their classmates at MIT and in graduate school.  I met Yoni in Interphase when we were both entering freshman.  A few all nighters, several long winning streaks in pickup basketball and mandatory fun became the start of a life-long friendship--some people actually called us twins due to our similar names. Later we went on to become brothers in Chocolate City and are both currently pursing endeavors in aerospace--so perhaps they were somewhat right.  I met Yamicia my sophomore year at MIT and it wasn't long before sparks began to fly between her and Yoni.  Between then and now, we've had some great times studying, celebrating, partying, and working together professionally.  Now, we are all grown up I couldn't be more excited to witness two of my closest friends tie the knot!

I've known Yamicia my entire life and she is an amazing sister! She is a trail blazer and one of the most focused and hard working people I know. She is someone who never settles for anything less than the best. That example has affected me greatly as well. I'm so proud and grateful to see my sister on the way to marriage with such an amazing man such as Yonatan! They make a great couple and I'm excited to watch them continue to grow!

I am the older yet Handsome, Charming and Charismatic Brother of the Groom. Currently I reside in Charlotte, NC where I work as a Divisional Labor Relations Manager for Walmart Stores Inc.

I have had the opportunity to see Yonatan and Yamicia grow together as a very loving and successful couple. It is an honor to stand next to my Brother as he marries such a great young lady whom I am looking forward to calling sister.

I met Yon on a work assignment along the shores of Honolulu, where we served as two of the most expensive blue collar laborers in history. It was Raytheon that brought us together in 2005 and we haven't skipped a beat since. Within a year of our meeting, Yon told me that he had proposed to Yamicia--a girl he'd known from MIT who was a student in the World's longest degree program. We all hung out in the clubs in Boston and at BBQ's in Kendall Square. Then we started a tradition of celebrating New Years Eve at ATLanta's hottest night clubs. It was in ATLanta that I was introduced to Tekleab South. In 2008, I relocated to downtown Washington, D.C. where I was honored to join the elite Missile Defense Nation Team. I now work at MITRE where I protect the government from getting hustled by Raytheon.

Yonatan is my big brother.  I have often been referred to by many that have come to know him first as "little yoni" or by Yonatan as "Lil man". My younger years were spent sharing a room with him until he left for boarding school and then on to college. I spent a lot of time wanting to be like him, that is until I realized I was the cooler brother.  I wish Yamicia and Yonatan nothing but the best!
